iPhone lovers trying to sync their phones with Windows 7 and iTunes 9 are reporting a frustrating bug where the phone is recognised and the sync begins but is abruptly interrupted. An error message (”error 0xE8000065″) leaves the process unfinished.
The problem does not appear to be with Windows but with hardware – Intel’s new P55 Express chipset is the common denominator.
iPhone users connecting via their PC’s motherboard-based USB port or powered USB hubs have reported the problem but some have bypassed it using PCI-based USB cards.
New computers from MSI, Gigabyte and Asus are all reported to have been affected by the problem.
